After a long break, I'm back! I'll be back next week with more info and new content, but for the next few days I'm sharing 3 episodes from the archives.
(Today) 10/31/24 You'll here the very first episode of This RJ Life with Cheryl Graves my mentor, elder, OG! She had a stroke this summer and it's important for me to make sure that those who didn't get to hear from, learn from her directly get the opportunity to. You can Support Cheryl's Healing on their gofundme.

Nov. 1-2 (Day of the Dead/Dia de los Muertos/All Saints Day), I'll be sharing conversations with two elders in the RJ community who made their transitions this summer. 11/1 Eric Butler and 11/2 Ted Lewis

Glad to be back in community with y'all in this way again!

David (he/him):

Hi, my name is David Ryan, arsega, castro, harris, all five names for all the ancestors, and it's been a long time since I've said those words into a microphone. Next week, in this podcast feed, I'll tell you a little bit more about what's been going on in my absence and what you can expect here in this feed moving forward. But today I wanted to share a little bit about what's going to happen over the next couple days as I restart this specific project. In the work of Amplify RJ, it's always good to look back on what's happened, and so, for multiple reasons, I'll be sharing in a separate episode in this feed, our very first episode of this podcast, a conversation with my mentor, my elder, my OG in this work, cheryl Graves. It's the very first episode that was posted in this feed, it's our most downloaded episode and it's a really great conversation to explore the applications of restorative justice, both in the criminal, legal sense, but also how it can embody every part of your life and the relationships that you have. And so, as I'm restarting this project, it was important for me to recenter on that. But it was also important for me to include the conversation with Cheryl because, as some of you may know she had a stroke this past summer and is not able to have conversations in the same way, so I wanted to put her words out there again as a reminder to myself and to share with so many of you who have not had the pleasure to get to be with her and meet with her. Learn from her directly.

David (he/him):

I'm also going to be posting a link to the GoFundMe to support her home health care. So if you have the means, please go and support. That means. Please go and support that November is the month that contains National Restorative Justice Week, and so, to kick that off, I'll also be sharing two other episodes from the archives on November 1 and 2.

David (he/him):

November 1 and 2, depending on what your culture is, are known as Day of the Dead, dia de los Muertos, all Saints Day and on those two days we'll be honoring two members of the restorative justice community who made their transitions this summer Eric Butler and Ted Lewis. I'll be sharing more about each of them individually on the Days there episode, so stay tuned to this feed for those things. Like I said, next week I'll be sharing more about what's been going on and what you can expect here in the future, but for now. I'm very excited to be back in community with you in this particular way and I hope you'll be along for the ride. So, like, subscribe, share, follow rate, review, all of those things. Until then, take care and be safe.
